Low-Carbon Transition Pathway Planning of Regional Power Systems with Electricity-Hydrogen Synergy

Hydrogen energy leads us in an important direction the development of clean energy, and comprehensive utilization hydrogen is crucial for low-carbon transformation power sector. In this paper, demand various fields predicted based on support vector regression algorithm, which can be converted into equivalent electrical load when it all produced from water electrolysis. Then, investment costs generators equipment are forecast considering uncertainty. Furthermore, a planning model established with data, initial installed capacity targets carbon emission reduction as inputs, well share supply annual emissions outputs. Taking Gansu Province China example, changes structure under different scenarios analysed. It found that production through electrolysis powered by renewable reduce but will increase generators. Appropriate storage overall cost promote low transition system.
